Russia, Imperial. A 1704 Medal for the Construction of Fort Kronshlot
Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised depiction of a helmet warrior gesturing toward a seascape with ships visible on the horizon, circumscribed by a Latin inscription dedicated to the security of the seas, the reverse bearing a depiction of the fort in high relief, circumscribed by a Latin inscription indicating that the medal was issued to commemorate the construction of Fort Kronshlot in 1704, measuring 46 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
