Russia, Imperial. A Prize Medal for Diligence and Art from the Ministry of Trade and Industry
Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile of Tsar Nicholas II, circumscribed by name and title in Russian Cyrillic, the reverse bearing a Cyrillinc inscription of “ЗА ТРУДОЛЮБІЕ И ИСКУССТВО ОТЪ МИНИСТЕРСТВА ТОРГОВЛИ И ПРОМЫШЛЕННОСТИ” (“FOR DILIGENCE AND ART FROM THE MINISTRY OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY”), set within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 51 mm in diameter, with surface oxidation evident to the edge of the obverse, in better than very fine condition.
