Germany, Imperial. A Late First War Heer EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle
(Heer Gürtelschnalle). A late First War Heer EM/NCO’s belt buckle, constructed of grey-painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Prussian crown, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and laurel leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment prongs, retaining a period original leather strap, with the partially-legible mark of a Nuremberg-based manufacturer, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in unissued and extremely fine condition.
