Sweden, Kingdom. A Red Cross Merit Medal For Voluntary Health Care for Ladies, II Class Silver Grade
(Röda Korsets förtjänstmedalj för Frivillig sjukvård). Instituted in 1921. Gustaf VI Adolf (1950-1973). In silver, maker marked "MJV" (The Royal Mint), marked "SILVER" and dated "1969" on the edge, engraver's initials on the obverse, un-named, measuring 31.2 mm (w) x 47.5 mm (h) inclusive of its crown and wreath suspension, contact marks evident on the edge and the reverse, original bow-tied ribbon with safety pin attachment, near extremely fine.
