Sweden, Kingdom. An Air Force Dagger, c.1930
(En flygvapen dolk). A fine example of this type, which served as the basis for the HJ Leaders dagger, consisting of a gilt wire wrapped handle, tightly wound, gilt pommel with Swedish tri-crowna, single screw point having been well worn, cross guard in bronze with side etching, the magnetic steel blade rates better than extremely fine with only minor wear from insertion and removal into the scabbard. The scabbard exhibits period wear and is black leather wrapped, scabbard throat featuring the Air Force symbology in relief with braided design, scabbard also featuring a scaled design tip with a bulls eye motif, the dagger features consistent overall patina and wear points, accompanied by an original Air Force Dagger Hangers in their early design format; dagger also features its original and rarely seen portepee in gilt wrapped bullion with a neck interlaced with blue threading, also features a black velvet insert; Overall, a most complete and untouched example, rating near extremely fine overall.
