Silvered feinzink alloy with a pebbled upper on each. The smallest buckle maker marked with the stylized Assmann "A" (F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Ludenscheid) and marked "D.R.G.M." (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) on the reverse, 45.2 mm x 59.7 mm; the mid-size buckle is unmarked, 46 mm x 61 mm; the largest buckle is unmarked, 49.7 mm x 76 mm. Glue residue evident on the roll bar of the largest buckle. Extremely fine. |These buckles came from the personal collection of John R. Angolia, the author of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition", the smallest and largest ones illustrated on page 50.
