What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Jaroslaw Dabrowski Brigade Commemorative Decoration (silver, obverse illustrating the bust of General Jaroslaw Dabrowski on the three-pointed Republican star, the three points inscribed "XIII / Bl", "1936" and "1939", framed by an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves with a ribbon banner at its base inscribed "POR VUESTRA LIBERTAD Y LA NUESTRA" (For Your Liberty and Ours), 32.8 mm x 34.8 mm, maker marked "MENNICA PANSTWOWA" on the screwback); and Your Freedom and Ours Miniature Medal 1956 (silver, 17.5 mm, original ribbon). Extremely fine. Footnote: The Jaroslaw Dabrowski XIII International Brigade Commemorative Decoration was instituted in 1945 to honour the soldiers which fought on the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939. The Brigade, composed mostly of Polish volunteers, was named in honour of General Jaroslaw Dabrowski (1836-1871), who fell in defense of Paris during the Paris Commune of 1871. The Medal for Your Freedom and Ours was issued in 1956 and was awarded to all former members of the XIII International Brigade who fought in Spain on the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939.
