What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Four-piece construction, independent crown, wreath and ribbon banner plate in silver, with an additional ribbon banner in silver inscribed "2nd VOLUNTEER BATTALION" placed upon it, the inserted base plate with a two-piece construction consisting of a silver cross bearing the regimental insignia, mounted to the convex silver base, unmarked, measuring 67.5 mm (w) x 84.5 mm (h), all four screwposts on the independent plate intact, the one at 9 o'clock with an octagonal nut, very light contact, residue in the recessed areas on the independent plate from cleaning, the base plate exhibiting ghosting from the voided areas of the independent plate, near extremely fine.
