In cupro-nickel, obverse illustrating the English rose, flanked by the Scottish thistle at the left and the Welsh daffodil at the right in the centre, inscribed "BATTLE FOR BRITAIN" above and "1939-1945" below, reverse illustrating the city of London in flames, smoke billowing and framing the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral, measuring 36.7 mm in diameter, original ribbon with pinback, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked "BATTLE FOR BRITAIN COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL" on the lid, maroon felt medal bed, with certificate card signed by Air Marshal Sir Ivor Broom, case also extremely fine.
