What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Ghuznee Medal 1839 (engraved in running script "Acting Sub Conductor Robert Lowe Artillery" on the reverse); and Candahar, Ghuznee, Cabul Medal 1842, Type III with Ghuznee Cabul 1842 reverse (engraved in running script "Acting Sub Conductor Robert Lowe Artillery" on the edge). Un-mounted, the Ghuznee Medal with edge nicks and a replacement ribbon, the Candahar, Ghuznee, Cabul Medal exhibiting bruising and edge nicks with an original ribbon. Better than very fine.

1. The Ghunzee Medal 1839 was instituted in 1839 and awarded for participation in the storming of the fortress of Ghunzee, July 21-23, 1839.

2. The Candahar, Ghuznee, Cabul Medal was instituted in 1842 and awarded to those who took part in the First Anglo-Afghan War under the command of General William Nott. It comes with four versions, as designated on their respective reverses: Type I: Candahar 1842, Type II: Cabul 1842, Type III: Ghunzee Cabul 1842 and Type IV: Candahar, Ghuznee, Cabul 1842.
