In silver, the obverse presenting the Coat of Arms for Sheffield surrounded by a laurel and oak leaf wreath and surmounting crown, the reverse bears a field with engraving “Pte. Walter Dixon No 6049 D. Coy 2nd K.O.Y.L.I. 8th October 1906”, with silver hallmarks denoting Sheffield manufacture, lion passant, and date mark for 1866, with makers mark beside in the form of a W&H in a flag, the rim is engraved COLONEL SIR JOHN E BINGHAM BART J.P. PRESIDENT, worn on an ornate scroll suspension with a section of blue ribbon, measures 38mm (w) x 43.9mm (h – inclusive of integral suspension post), weighs 27.4 (including ribbon), dark patina, notable edge knocks and wear, in very fine condition.

Contained in a black leatherette case with dark purple silk interior, measures 58mm (w) x 81mm (l) x 32mm (d, wear to exterior and interior, hinge and catch functional, in very fine condition.
