This swagger stock features a wooden stick wrapped in leather, the upper portion with a single piece of leather and finished in a knot at the top end, the knot surmounted by the head of a dog painted in blackish-brown, with red stones representing its eyes. There is a leather-wrapped knot at the junction of the upper and centre portions that houses a large thin strap in a loop formation, the centre portion divided into bands by strands of wire, most of which are single strands, however there are nine areas of multiple strands butting each other, with some of the leather exhibiting dark red stripes. The lower portion is wrapped in leather, with a leather-wrapped knot at the bottom that incorporates a wide leather strap in a loop. It measures 430 mm in length overall, the leathers exhibiting wear in some areas, especially on the two straps. Very fine.
