Regimental insignia with a two-piece construction, consisting of a central insignia in silver with red and blue enamels, the insignia bearing a Royal monogram in the centre surrounded by a garter inscribed "PRO ARIS ET FOCIS", mounted to an eight-pointed star base, each star point with seven emanating rays, measuring 43.8 mm (h) x 62 mm (h), the regimental insignia affixed via seven pins to a 44.5 mm (w) x 62 mm (h) oval base, the upper in blue enamels, the underside with a steel blue wash, the regimental insignia exhibiting contact marks along with chipping in the red and blue enamels, the oval base with chipping in the blue enamels along its edges, an eighth pin securing the regimental insignia to the oval base having been lost to time, near fine.
