Canada: Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes New Brunswick Lodge Medal (two-piece construction, in silver with blue, white and red enamels, marked "SOLID SILVER" and engraved "PRESENTED TO J.C....P. RAISED TO 2nd DEG." on the reverse, measuring 39 mm (w) x 44.7 mm (h) inclusive of its ball suspension, the recipient's name scratched out, suspended from a 39.7 mm (w) x 16 mm (h) silver and blue enamelled hanger inscribed "NEW BRUNSWICK LGE. 4627" on the obverse and marked "SOLID SILVER" along with a bar on the reverse); Canada: Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes Medal (two-piece construction, in silver with blue and red enamels, marked with an anchor (made in Birmingham), the British lion and date marked "J" (1934), maker marked "C & Co" and engraved "Presented to BRO RC McM......C.P. For Services Rendered (P.G.L) MARITIME PROVINCES 1933" on the reverse, measuring 40 mm (w) x 42.7 mm (h), integral ring, the recipient's name partially scratched out); Great Britain: First War Army War Service Badge (in silver, attempt has been made to scratch out the number "27187" on the reverse, measuring 32.7 mm in diameter, vertical pinback); and Great Britain: Scottish Police Cap Badge (in silvered bronze, measuring 33.8 mm (w) x 43.5 mm (h), intact slider). Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
