This is an extremely well-preserved edition of “Purdey Guns & Rifle Makers: The Definitive History”, by Donald Dallas. It is constructed of a heavy card stock binding and retains its original glossed paper stock dust jacket, with the exterior of the cover page bearing a full-colour photograph of a Purdey rifle, circumscribed by author and title, while the reverse features colour photographs of the Purdey logo and a further rifle. The interior title page retains a bookplate featuring Dallas’ signature and indicates that it is book number 2340 of a limit print of 3000. The interior content consists of 245 glossed paper stock pages with highly detailed descriptions of both the history of the Purdey firm and its firearms, and is supplemented by both black-and-white and colour illustrations and photographs. It was published in 2000 by Quiller Press Limited of London, United Kingdom. The book measures 240 mm (w) x 305 mm (h). With the exception of minor material fatigue to the dust jacket, this rare book presents in an extremely fine condition.
