Includes an "Adveniat Regnum Tuum" Cap Badge, a 54th Cavalry Cap Badge, 9th Infantry Regiment (Manchu) Badge, an American Eagle surmounting a Shield Badge, a Lincoln Badge, a Badge bearing a Griffin, a Single Lincoln Bust Badge, along with seven other badges. In silver or bronze, ten with enamels, four are maker marked ("A.H. DONDERO, INC. WASHINGTON, D.C.", "J.R. GAUNT LONDON / MADE IN ENGLAND", "R. NEWCOMB & Co N.Y.C.", "LEVELLE & CO. PHILA. STERLING"), the remainder are unmarked, two with a vertical pinback, three with a screwback, one with a nut and bolt combo, the others missing attachments, three missing their insignias, accompanied by two push pins, ranging from poor to very fine.
This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
