What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Membership Badge (in silver gilt with blue and white enamels, number engraved "996" on the edge of the arm at 9 o'clock, measuring 39 mm (w) x 39 mm (h), missing its eagle suspension and ribbon, repair evident in the blue and white enamels throughout); two Grand Army of the Republic Membership Badges (one in bronze, numbered "P33104" on the edge of the arm at 3 o'clock, measuring 46 mm (w) x 43.8 mm (h), separated from its eagle and crossed cannons over ten cannonballs suspension with pinback, marked "PAT. MAY 4, 1886 / JUNE 22, 1886" with pot suspended over a campfire insignia on the reverse of the suspension, with a piece of its original ribbon bearing the American flag remaining; the other in bronze gilt, numbered "15" and "28" on the reverse of the arms at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively, marked "PATENTED DEC 28 1860" on the reverse of the arm at 6 o'clock, measuring 45.7 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), separated from its eagle and crossed cannons over eight cannonballs suspension with pinback, missing its ribbon); and two Clasps (one in bronze gilt, engraved "HENRY WATERMAN GEORGE 1639" on the reverse, with pinback, measuring 44.8 mm (w) x 6 mm (h); the other in bronze gilt, with pinback, measuring 43 mm (w) x 4.7 mm (h), overall gilt wear). Ranging from fine to very fine.
