What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

United States. A National Society Magna Charta Dames Membership Badge in Gold, c.1910

A lovely 14Kt Gold eight-point star of white and blue enamels with ball finials and a small red enamelled star between each arm, center obverse features a medallion depicting to individuals shaking hands against rugged mountain background with white and blue enamel sky, surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed 1607-1898 DAUGHTERS OF FOUNDERS & PATRIOTS OF AMERICA, with a wreath of laurel leaves along the exterior, centre reverse bears an eagle with a red enamelled shield marked D F&P with a white ribbon above inscribed A PATRIA CONDITA, the 9 o’clock arm is hand engraved "Mary H.L Shield" and the 3 o’clock arm is numbered "11.", measures 39.5mm (w) x 40.5mm (h-inclusive of integral suspension ball), weighs 12.8 grams including ribbon, on original ribbon with brooch pinback, enamels fully intact, extremely fine condition.

Footnote: Founded in 1898, The Daughters of Founders and Patriots of organization required its members to have ancestors who arrived in the colonies between 1607 and 1686 and also have an ancestor who aided American independence movement between 1775 and 1784.
