Silver Star (two-piece construction, silver star placed upon a bronze gilt star-shaped base, measuring 36.2 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), original ribbon with brooch pinback); Air Medal (in bronze, engraved "STEVEN B. BERRY" on the reverse, measuring 42.3 mm (w) x 50.7 mm (h), original ribbon with brooch pinback); and Army Commendation Medal (in bronze, engraved "STEVEN B. BERRY" on the reverse, measuring 35.5 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), original ribbon with brooch pinback). Contact marks, very fine.
Footnote: Steven B. Berry was born on August 15, 1948. He enlisted with the United States Army on April 30, 1969, for service during the Vietnam War, at the age of 20. He served in the rank of Specialist Fourth Class for thirty-two months as a Helicopter Door Gunner, before being released from service on December 21, 1971. Berry was a resident of Concord, California when he died on September 6, 2006, at the age of 58. He is buried in Oakmont Park Memorial Cemetery, in Oakmont, California.
