What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Francis" on the reverse, measuring 35.7 mm (w) x 39.7 mm inclusive of its integral laterally-pieced ball suspension, original ribbon with brooch pinback; and Miniature: in bronze, measuring 17.7 mm (w) x 17.7 mm (h), original ribbon with brooch pinback. Extremely fine. Accompanied by their 36 mm (w) x 9.7 mm (h) ribbon bar and their 17.3 mm (w) x 3.7 mm (h) enameled ribbon bar, along with three other ribbon bars (the Army Good Conduct Medal, the American Defense Service Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with Bronze Star) and a War Department Award Card (printed in black ink on a card stock, with the printed signature of Secretary of War Robert P. Patterson, measuring 127 mm (w) x 75 mm (h)), in their hardshelled case of issue, marked "SOLDIER'S MEDAL" on the lid, light scuffing on the bottom, case near extremely fine.
