What's a max bid?

In bronze, engraved "BRADLEY ELTON HUNTER AVIATION RADIOMAN FIRST CLASS USNR Nov. 1942 June 1943" on the reverse, measuring 41.5 mm (w) x 52.8 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, original ribbon with brooch pinback, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked "AIR MEDAL" on the lid, fabric overlying the hinged area peeling away slightly and light scuffing on the exterior, case near extremely fine. Accompanied by its cardboard mailing container, with partial shipping label affixed to the exterior.
 
Footnote: Bradley Elton Hunter was born on February 1, 1917. He served with the United States Naval Reserve during the Second World War as an Aviation Radioman First Class and died on October 20, 1943, at the age of 26. His grave marker is located in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, Plot: M/B, 0, 36, along with a bronze plaque nearby inscribed "THE MARKERS IN THIS MEMORIAL AREA HONOR VETERANS WHOSE REMAINS HAVE NOT BEEN RECOVERED OR IDENTIFIED, WERE BURIED AT SEA, DONATED TO SCIENCE, OR CREMATED AND THE ASHES SCATTERED."
