What's a max bid?

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

In bronze, obverse illustrating the right-facing bust of Pope Pius IX, surrounded by the Latin inscription "PIVS IX PONTIFEX MAXIMVS", engraver marked "N.G." below the bust, reverse inscribed in Latin "COHORTI / VIGILVM VRBAN / EXPERIMENTO / PVBLICE EXHIBITO / XII CAL IVN / MDCCCLXV", measuring 26.3 mm in diameter, edge nicks, replacement ribbon, near extremely fine.
