What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Fullsize: four-piece construction, in bronze gilt with red enamels, clear lacquered centrepiece, measuring 40.3 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), original ribbon with pin attachment; Miniature: three-piece construction, in bronze gilt with red enamels, clear lacquered centrepiece, measuring 40.3 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), original ribbon with push pin; Ribbon Bar: in yellow embroidery with gilt metal ends, measuring 41.5 mm (w) x 14 mm (h), with dual push pins; and Rosette: in yellow embroidery, measuring 9.7 mm in diameter, with push pin. Extremely fine. In their hardshelled case of issue, marked with the Venezuelan coat-of-arms and inscribed "ORDEN FRANCISCO DE MIRANDA / Tercera Clase" (III Class) in gold-coloured ink on the lid, navy blue felt medal bed, case also extremely fine.
2. Order of the Star of Carabobo (Condecoración Estrella de Carabobo) Badge: (two-piece construction, in silvered bronze, measuring 60 mm (w) x 60 mm (h), original ribbon with dual pin attachments; and Ribbon Bar (silvered insignia, mounted to a red and blue embroidered base with gilt metal ends, measuring 40.5 mm (w) x 14.2 mm (h), with dual push pins. Extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked with the Venezuela Army coat-of-arms and inscribed "ORDEN ESTRELLA DE CARABORO / UNICA CLASE" (Only Class) in gold-coloured ink on the lid, maker marked "FABRICA INSIGNIAS VENEZOLANAS C.A" on the inside lid, ultramarine blue fabric medal bed, case also extremely fine.
 
Footnote: 
1. The Order of Francisco de Miranda is conferred by the Republic of Venezuela, in memory of Francisco de Miranda (1754-1816). This national honour and decoration was created to recognize Venezuelan citizens and foreigners who have contributed to the sciences, who have contributed to national advancement and progress of the country, to the humanities, or to those who have exemplified outstanding merits. There are several variations in this Order. This Order was originally a medal, established in 1934, however, it was established as an Order on July 28, 1939, in three grades: Grand Cross, Commander and Knight.
2. The Order of the Star of Carabobo is awarded to members of the Venezuelan army for distinguished service and may also be awarded to members of other branches of the Venezuelan armed forces and to civilians for significant contributions to the army.
