(Friedrich-Bathildis Medaille). Instituted on 24 December 1915. A circular bronze medal, obverse illustrating the left-facing busts of Friedrich I, Prince of Waldeck & Pyrmont and Princess Bathildis, inscribed FRIEDRICH BATHILDIS at the left F.u.F. z.W.u.P. at the right and engraver marked R. KOWARZIK below his bust, reverse inscribed FÜR TREUES WIRKEN IN EISERNER ZEIT 1915 inside an ornate wreath with hearts placed at the top and bottom, measuring 38.40 mm in diameter, with period original ribbon, accompanied by ribbon bar, measuring 35 mm (w) x 19 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition.
