Wurttemberg, Imperial. An Officer’s Brocade Dress Belt and Buckle
(Feldbine). A round gilded brass officer’s buckle, the obverse illustrates a Gothic letter “W” surmounted by the Imperial crown, affixed to the buckle by three prongs, and surrounded by an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves, the reverse shows a welded hook and keeper bar, measures 47.18 mm in diameter, a brass receiving clip with dual prongs on the reverse at the other end of the belt, the belt is fabricated from a silver sash with black and red stripes on a navy blue wool backing, the right end with an adjustable brown leather tab stitched to the reverse with nine rows of two holes each, matching sliding belt feed, measures approximately 44 mm (w) x 930 mm (l), wool back shows some mothing, buckle shows some wear of the gilt, and overall in fine condition.
