WWI British War Medal to the Canadian Army Medical Corps - (400013 PTE. J. BARTHOLOMEW. C.A.M.C.). Naming is officially impressed. Contact marks and surface wear, edge nicks, bruised, very fine. Footnote: John Bartholomew was born in May 1884 in Crumkill, County Antrim, Ireland. He signed his Attestation Paper with the Canadian Army Medical Corps, at Moore Barracks Hospital at Bramshott, England, on October 24, 1915, at the age of 21, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Mary Bartholomew of Antrim Road, Ballymena, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Carpenter.
