WWII German Army Cavalry Officers Field Service Tunic

WWII German Army Cavalry Officers Field Service Tunic - The nice quality, privately tailored, field-grey-green fine wool construction M35 dress tunic features a vertical six button front closure with dual brass hooks and eyes at the neckline. The right breast has a hand embroidered national eagle in bright silver/aluminum and bullion wire threads on a cut-out, green badge cloth base with complimenting green stiching (One of the finest breast eagles seen in some time). The eagle is neatly handstitched to the tunic. The left breast has three horizontal thread loops for wear of an award with two vertical loops on the pocket. The tunic has ornamental lemon yellow wool waffenfarbe running down the full length of both the left and right front closure panel edges, around the top edge of the simulated French cuffs. The reverse of the tunic has a central, vertical, tail skirt vent with vertical. The tunic has sewn on shoulder boards with bright silver/aluminum on lemon yellow wool with a single pip. The green badge lay down collar has lemon yellow piping as well as bright, machine woven, silver/aluminum collar tab litzen mounted on lemon yellow wool bases. The collar tabs are machine stitched in place and show wear from period use. The interior of the tunic is fully lined in a grey-green rayon with off-white striped sleeves. The lining has a horizontal pocket to the left breast. With Bender & Cie label. The buttons are all the bright, silver washed, pebbled, sheet metal type and appear to have their original stitching. Each are marked Assmann. The tunic is roughly a size 32" chest. Shows the expected light age and use, but overall excellent condition.
