Instituted November 26, 1947. A First Class set of insignia, the badge, in die stamped silver gilt, features a large flag with central five point star and a wreath on the flag rod along the left side, the reverse presents one side tac tie (one missing), and one at 6 o’clock, measures 111.5mm (w) x 64.5mm (h), weighs 45.8 grams, unmarked, wear to obverse, tac tie from right side is not attached but is included in case, accompanied by a replacement sash which is missing the bow, remains in near very fine condition. The Star of the Order, a silver ten-point star with superimposed central medallion featuring a five-point star with gilt rays in each quadrant, and a blue, white, and red enamelled Yugoslav flag in the center with wreath below, the reverse presents a single vertical pin with three central rivets, marked with 900 silver fineness, IKOM maker mark and rooster B II mark (900 silver), measures 79.9mm (w) x 83.4mm (h), weighs 145.8 grams, contact marks, large area of scratches on reverse, enamels intact, remains in very fine condition.
Contained in its original case of issue, a brown exterior marked ORDEN JUGOSLVENSKE ZASTAVE SA LENTOM, the interior with a padded silk lid and Yugoslav insignia, the base is blue velvet with a recessed medal bed that’s removable, and storage component for the sash, measures 190mm (w) x 280mm (h) x 55mm (d), removable piece collapses to base, clasp and hinge functional, remains in very fine condition.
