Three-piece construction, in silver gilt with red enamels, hallmarked, maker marked "IKOM" and marked "900" (silver) on the reverse of the eight-pointed star base, measuring 65.3 mm (w) x 65.3 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels, very light contact, near extremely fine. Accompanied by its 37.2 mm (w) x 9.5 mm (h) ribbon bar, in its hardshelled case of issue, marked "Orden za vojne zasluge sa srebrnim mačevima" (Order of Military Merit with Silver Swords) on the lid, tabbed and recessed medal bed, light edge wear evident on the exterior, case better than very fine.
Footnote: The order was established on January 1, 1952 and awarded to commanding officers, who in times of peace, achieved success in the executions of their tasks in the unit they command or of military institutions, along with being awarded to the civilians who achieve results of significance for national defence.
