Footnote:
1. The Jubilee Badge of the Yugoslav Volunteers of the Spanish Republican Army awarded to living fighters who proved to have fought with arms in the International Brigades against General Franco's forces. Some 250 medals were awarded. The Yugoslav fighters were represented in Spain by a strong contingent of fighters, sources report several thousand soldiers. However, many were killed in guerrilla fighting in their homeland in 1941-1945, when they fought in Marshal Tito's guerrilla units.
